In July, you will find a highly curated group of thinkers, builders, influential leaders, makers, artists, and entrepreneurs who are incubating, experimenting, exploring, building, and breaking, all-things-DAOs.

Built over 700 years ago, the Bueckeburg Palace in Germany still serves as the home for the royal family of Schaumburg-Lippe, once reigning princes over the small sovereign state of the same name.

It has served as the location for several historical figures including Napoleon Bonaparte, Kaiser Wilhelm the Second and Mikhael Gorbachev.

Throughout the years, It has been host to artists, dictators, rebels, royalty, creators and businessmen alike without bias and has always been an incubator for great minds to come together.

It has seen more forms of Governance and shifts in Geopolitics than many alike it, and serves as a reminder that history is subject to ever changing dynamics that are meant to be challenged.

Do we have the right infrastructure, tooling, or governance models?

Are we recreating the same social, economic, and power structures that exists in today’s organizations?

Can DAOs survive the turbulence of real world economies?

During the two-week research residency we will probe these questions, challenging each others assumptions, our own assumptions. We’ll debate guidelines, philosophies, and standards. We might even be found building prototypes for tooling and other DAO infrastructure, writing whitepapers, launching new DAOs, and definitely improving existing DAOs.
